Evening Elk Eco-Tour:Description:
This tour lasts approximately 4 hours. If you are staying locally in Waynesville or Maggie Valley, we will pick you up at your hotel or inn, otherwise we arrange for a convenient meeting location. This tour explores the natural and cultural history of Cataloochee Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, with an emphasis on the elk reintroduction. Your guide will lead you on a 1/2 mile round-trip hike that requires crossing a narrow log footbridge over a creek. You will enjoy refreshments along with wildlife viewing and end the evening with the sunset overlooking the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. Tours Available: April 1st through October 31st Tour Prices: $160 for first two persons $60 per extra person Two person minimum, Five person maximum. Cash and major credit cards accepted. |
Wildflower Hike:Description:

Did you know the Smokies are home to 1500 species of wildflowers and more than 200 species of birds? Come enjoy a Spring morning hike discovering and identifying the beautiful array of wildflowers and birds of the Great Smoky Mountains. Your guide will lead you on a moderate 2 mile round trip hike exploring the rich natural beauty of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You will enjoy refreshments along with other wildlife viewing possibilities including elk, black bear and wild turkeys. Tours Available: Morning hikes during April & May and upon request. Firefly Night Walk:Description:
This tour lasts approximately 2 hours. We arrange for a convenient meeting location. Journey to our secret location to witness one of the true wonders of nature, the dance of the Synchronous Fireflies, known only to exist in two places in the world, Southeast Asia and here in the Great Smoky Mountains. Your guide will lead you on a short walk through the dark of night by flashlight to our secret viewing location. Timing is everything, so don't miss this dazzling site. The fireflies are only around for approximately 21 days, usually late May and early June. Homemade cookies and drink provided.
